I first picked up pottery in 2019 when my partner gifted me classes for my birthday. From the very first time I got on the wheel, it became clear to me that that was exactly what had been missing in my life. To quote Julia Child, “Avis, I am in heaven here. I've been looking for a career all my life... and I've found it!” Only in my case, it was a hobby, which is something I now I want to share with the world.

I try to infuse my upbringing in a middle class Indian family in my art, along with the aesthetic sense I have picked up along the way from the people who inspire me.
